Saffron Herndon might be just 10 years old, but her stand-up comedy career is already thriving. She's performed in comedy clubs in Texas and Michigan, and Parks and Rec actress Audrey Plaza even made their selfie her profile picture.
She's always loved making people laugh and started performing on stage two years ago. Her sense of humor is dark and edgy, and way more grown-up than her missing teeth might lead you to believe.
Her sense of humor is so adult that some people have even suggested she might not write her own jokes. Her dad is also a comedian, so it could be possible that he contributed a line or two. But Saffron's comedy is actually all her own.
Saffron told BuzzFeed that people who say she can't possibly come up with own jokes "make me feel angry, but then it makes me laugh at how stupid some adult's perspectives are on me. But I do write my own material. I do collaborate with others, like most comedians."
A few of her jokes are right up any kid's alley — she pokes fun at the lame gifts her grandparents give her, mopey cafeteria ladies, and drama at recess.
Next up, she says she wants to be on Saturday Night Live and eventually have her own TV show. When she does, we'll tune in, because she is hilaaaaarious.
