This Woman Found a Kidney Donor on Tinder

A Florida woman received a kidney after her friend went on a Tinder date with a woman who offered to donate one to her, People reports
Rich O'Dea, 43, went on a random Tinder date expecting, you know, whatever it is anyone expects from Tinder. While he was on the date at an Imagine Dragons concert with Jennifer Thomas, 35, they started talking about his friend's wife really needed a new kidney and had an O-negative blood type, leaving her on a waiting list for years.
Thomas, who is also a mom, told People that she "couldn't imagine being in her shoes and her children losing their mother. I knew I had to find a way to help her." A week later, she texted O'Dea and asked if she could be tested to see if she was a match.
O'Dea says he figured she wasn't being serious about it because they just went on a dumb Tinder date and had both decided not to keep dating, but she was completely serious.
For the next three months, Thomas underwent testing, blood work, a 24-hour urine analysis and a CT scan, and ultimately realized she was a match for O'Dea's friend Erika Bragan, 46, who had polycystic kidney disease and was seeking the transplant.
Bragan's husband Scott called Jennifer "our angel" and says, "So many things had to align for this to come together. Everything happens for a reason and as weird as it sounds, we have a dating app to thank for saving my wife's life."
Bragan is set to receive the new kidney Nov. 18, and Thomas and O'Dea have since become good friends, and the Bragans consider her part of the family.
I'm not even going to make one of the million Tinder jokes I could make here because this is just that sweet.
